About me

Hi, I'm Sammie Veres. I'm a fine art student from a windy north-west tourist town that I shan't mention by name. 

I'm obsessed with the bizarre, good vibes and a hint of surrealism. Rene Magritte has been one of my biggest inspirations and i love the way he makes the ordinary feel anything but that. this influence sneaks into my own work. 

Every illustration in my shop and gallery is drawn by me digitally or traditionally, no AI shortcuts. 

I enjoy capturing emotion and feeling in my art, if it doesn't make you feel anything, then what's the point? I love capturing the places and things people treasure most, as much as i enjoy the stranger side of art. The front door you've walked through 10000 times, the building you married your best friend in, the house you grew up in, wherever your heart lies.
